Why is jiu jitsu the best gift for your child?

Our training programs are well-suited for all ages, from the age of 5

Self defence

By practicing jiu jitsu, a child acquires important self-defense skills in order to be able to defend themselves if the need arises. The first law we teach is to try to avoid physical confrontation and resolve a situation without the use of force. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, so the technique that children learn allows them to protect themselves and control the attacker.

Physical fitness:

BJJ is a physically demanding sport that promotes overall fitness and health. It improves cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. Regular training sessions help children develop discipline, maintain an active lifestyle, and build a strong foundation of physical fitness.

Discipline and focus

BJJ training instills discipline and helps children develop focus and concentration. It requires them to listen attentively, follow instructions, and practice techniques with precision. BJJ teaches children the value of discipline, perseverance, and setting goals.

Social interaction and friendships

BJJ academies provide a social environment where children can make friends and develop positive relationships with peers who share a common interest. They learn teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect through partner drills and sparring.

Problem-solving and critical thinking

BJJ is often compared to a physical chess match. It involves strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to changing situations. Children learn to analyze positions, anticipate opponents' moves, and make decisions under pressure, enhancing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Confidence and self-esteem

BJJ training can boost your child's confidence and self-esteem. As they learn and improve their skills, earn stripes and belts, and achieve personal milestones, their self-confidence grows. Overcoming challenges on the mat can positively impact their self-perception and self-belief.

Resilience and mental toughness

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaches children resilience and mental toughness. It exposes them to physical and mental challenges, requiring them to push past their comfort zones and learn from setbacks. BJJ helps children develop mental fortitude, perseverance, and the ability to bounce back from failures.

Character development

BJJ emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship. Children learn to respect their instructors, training partners, and the art itself. BJJ fosters a supportive and inclusive community that promotes values such as humility, integrity, and camaraderie.
