Kids classesSince 2012, we have been offering quality and affordable Jiu-Jitsu training in Riga under the guidance of head coach Jevgenij Minajev. Over the years, hundreds of people have had the opportunity to see the positive benefits of Jiu Jitsu, both physically and emotionally. Many international athletes and coaches train and conduct trainings in our club.
Martial art and international combat sports, the basis of which is wrestling on the ground, as well as painful and choking techniques. This art emerged in the early twentieth century from judo and Japanese jiu-jitsu. This art is based on the principle that a person with a poorly developed physique can successfully defend against a stronger opponent, using the proper technique (submission and strangulation) and defeat him. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can be practised for a variety of purposes: self-defense, sports, competition (with or without gi) and Mixed Martial Arts. Sparring (also referred to as rolling in BJJ) and full contact training play a major role in training and preparation for a competition.
